There are different types of groups to assist you on the journey of becoming all that God intends you to be. Each type of group has strengths, and depending on the season of life you find yourself in, one may be a better fit than others. There's a group for you.
Bible Study Groups
Sunday morning Bible Study groups are ongoing throughout the year. You'll find groups for all ages – men, women, couples, singles, students and children – to connect to God and each other through Scripture. At Northside, we center our lives around Christ as revealed in Scripture and view it as our blueprint for life. If you attend a Sunday morning Bible Study Group, you will survey the entire Bible across a five year period.
journey Groups
Journey Groups meet throughout the week at Northside and run in semesters – Fall, Winter & Spring – with varied topics focusing on discipleship. Most meet on Sunday evenings on the campus of Northside, but if Sunday evenings don't fit your schedule, check out the Journey Groups that meet throughout the week in various locations.
support Groups
Cancer Support Group
If you, a family member or a friend has been diagnosed with cancer, connect with our cancer support ministry. Veteran Cancer Survivors will walk with you on your journey and share practical encouragement from their experiences. Most importantly, you'll make friends with people who know what you are going through.
Celebrate Recovery
women of grace
If you find yourself struggling with a hurt, habit or hang up that is hindering you from becoming all that God intends you to be, Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday evening and is a great place to get the encouragement and tools you need to regain momentum on the journey in Christ-likeness.
Ladies who have lost their spouses can minister to one another with encouragement, support, cards, prayers, visits, phone calls, listening ears, helping hands and Christian love. "Each one should use whatever gift he (she) has received to serve others." 1 Peter 4:10
family counseling
Northside currently partners with South Texas Children’s Home (STCH) Ministries to offer family counseling services. Professional Christian therapists provide hope and direction for individuals, couples, children and families when they need help sorting through the challenges of life. Counseling services are provided regardless of an individual or family’s ability to pay. Donations toward services are accepted and appreciated. Contact STCH to make an appointment.
